Printer Driver Manual Removal
Had a spooler printer error
that would not go away. Could not delete or uninstall the driver through normal
means. Spooler kept hanging…
Delete SPECIFIC Printer Driver Registry keys
The name of the printer, port monitor, drivers, and print processor will depend on which printer driver you are uninstalling.
On 64 bit machines substitute Windows NT x86 with Windows x64!
Run regedit .
1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3\ (PRINTER MODEL HERE)
2. 2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Print Processors\(PRINTER MODEL HERE)
3. 3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\(PRINTER MODEL HERE)
4. 4. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\ (PRINTER MODEL HERE)
Run CCLeaner on the registry after to make sure there are no old branches or references.

You may need to Restart the spooler.
Start > Run…
Type cmd
Type net stop spooler and hit enter
Type net start spooler and hit enter
If you get an “Access denied” message reboot the computer, and try it again.
Here are generic instructions
to remove a troublesome printer driver. USE Regedit WITH CAUTION “You break it
