How to use IE10 or IE9 beyond basic compatibility mode

Problem: A website you access won’t load properly after upgrading your browser Solution:   At the end of the address bar click on the compatibility mode icon as highlighted below: If the site and forms do not load properly proceed to “ Solution 2 ” Solution 2:   Press “ F12 ” which will toggle on developer mode ( Note : the toolbar at the bottom of the page (feel free to drag it down so only the following is showing)) We will use the developer toolbar at the bottom Click on Browser and Document Mode and change modes and test the site options are IE9, IE8, IE7. “IE8” is shown below: When you close your browser when finished your browser may or may not turn off Developer mode. To toggle it on and off simple press “ F12 ” Note : Site specific settings will NOT be saved and will need to be repeated to access the website in the alternate modes.

Damco Shipping Dashboard error using IE9 or IE10

Problem : After logging onto the Damco site you receive the following “ An unexpected error occurred .Please try again later” when trying to access the Shipping Dashboard as shown below: Solution : Open Internet Explorer Press “F12” which will toggle on developer mode (Note: the toolbar at the bottom of the page (feel free to drag it down so only the following is showing)) Go to https://portal.damco.com and log on normally After logging on to Damco we will use the developer toolbar at the bottom Click on Browser and Document Mode and change to IE8 as shown below: The Damco Shipper Dashboard should now work properly as shown below: When you close your browser when finished your browser may or may not turn off Developer mode. Office 365 Deployment Tips

1) DNS record changes should be hosted by a service provider that allows you access to the DNS records and can make immediate changes. If not you may want to move them first to a service provider that does or plan to move them to Office 365 as part of the migration. 2) Set current DNS record TTL’s as low as possible a week or so ahead of your migration, the further out from the live changes the better. 3) If relocating existing email solution make sure you have access to the old email as PST’s and that you have access to the previous email data after the move. i.e. webmail access to old provider for any email that is slow to make the DNS changes. 4) Make DNS changes after hours preferably on a Friday.
